Bad Left Hook reported Keyshawn Davis declined the ordered WBO welterweight title fight after Top Rank's winning bid would have paid Haney roughly $6.4M and Davis roughly $2.1M. Teofimo Lopez, whose company also bid, called the move a bad look.
This flips the public pressure. Haney had been the champion accused of risk management. Now Keyshawn has to explain why a title shot he talked toward was not worth taking once the money and date became real.
Did Davis avoid a bad deal, or did he just hand Haney the easiest credibility win of the year without fighting him?
